On March 10th, 2017, the Opening ceremony of the Niwa Foundry Factory took place at Da Nang Hi-Tech Zone. Niwa Foundry Vietnam has been invested US $30 million from Japan with an area of ​​over 3 hectares, the goal is to manufacture cast products for use in hydraulic parts and precision parts.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ho Ky Minh – Vice President of Danang People’s Committee; Leader of Danang Hi-tech Zone; Leaders of some departments, divisions; The Board of Directors of Niwa Foundry (Japan), together with the attendance of more than 70 enterprises from Japan, Thailand.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Niwa Tatsumi – Chairman of Niwa Foundry Company, sincerely thanked the city authorities, Board of Danang Hi-tech Zone and other related units for their supports during time of construction and testing production operation. He confirmed that Niwa Foundry would be worthy of the expectation as a high technology project in Danang Hi-tech Zone, not only contributing to the city’s export turnover but also supplying quality products to domestic markets.

On behalf of the city’s units, Mr. Ho Ky Minh congratulated the Niwa Foundry Company for completing the construction of the plant and put into operation, and expressed his thanks to the Company for trusting and selecting Da Nang as the location of long term investment and commitment.

Vice President of the Danang People’s Committee emphasized that the city’s priority is to attract and develop high-tech industries with high added-value, environment friendly and promoting technology transfer, creating sustainable industries. In order to do so, it is necessary to make a great contribution from the business community, especially FDI enterprises, with solid resources in technology, finance and human resources. Mr. Ho Ky Minh hopes that the Niwa Foundry project in Vietnam will enrich the investment environment of Danang Hi-tech Zone in particular and contribute to the socio-economic development of Da Nang city in general, especially the capital support industry.

Niwa Foundry Vietnam is a Japanese 100% Japanese invested project owned by Niwa Foundry Japan, headquartered in Gifu, Japan, specializing in foundry manufacturing of components used in parts. hydraulic, precision mechanical parts, used for agricultural machinery based on fully automated production lines.

This is the second project to be granted an investment certificate in Danang Hi-tech Zone, started construction in March 2015. In the past time, the factory has operated many kinds of testing products based on Japanese Industrial Standard. Expected, the production capacity in the coming ti  me of the plant will reach more than 500 tons of products per month.
